Make the most of your college experience

Find Your Advisor

In most cases, undergraduate students are assigned both a Faculty Advisor and a Professional Academic Advisor throughout their studies. Who you are assigned to is based on various factors, such as: affiliation with a designated special-population; declared major and/or concentration; number of units completed; alpha-sort by last name; etc. Your Faculty Advisor will predominately support you with major/minor advising, while your Professional Academic Advisor will predominately support you with general advising. Your Faculty Advisor will generally be located within the department that oversees your major/minor, while your Professional Academic Advisor could be located elsewhere. Sounds complicated, right? Don't worry - We got you!

There are a few different ways to identify your assigned academic advisors:
